A Jumanji remake is officially in the works!

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson confirmed the news on Instagram this week.

“It’s official,” he said on his page. “We’ll produce and deliver to a whole new generation a title that I love and is one of my all time favs: There’s games you play for fun…then there’s games that change your life. JUMANJI”

Adding, “Working on edging up an already very good script with my @sevenbucksprod team. Up next is meeting with our producer Matt Tolmach and director Jake Kasdan. Shooting starts this fall. Promise to deliver something cool and special.. and not screw the whole damn thing up;). As always I’ll keep you posted. Casting this should be fun!”

Seven Bucks is the production company run by the former WWE wrestler and his business partner, Dany Garcia. They’re currently producing his Baywatch film.

We wrote about this a week ago, noting that Kevin Hart was up to star in the family-friendly film alongside The Rock, but nothing has been confirmed yet. What we do know is that Hart and Johnson have awesome chemistry, having co-hosted the recent MTV Movie Awards— but Hart also has a very busy work schedule.

The original 1995 film was based off Chris Van Allsburg’s adventure book, and starred the late Robin Williams. As noted by The Verge, the original Jumanji overcame lukewarm critical reception on its way to conquering the box office over two decades ago, and it’s become a go-to movie for parents and children in the years since its release.

Family-friendly + The Rock = a box office hit.

So, we obviously can’t wait to see this film, whoever is in it with Johnson.
