Comedian and star of NBC’s The Carmichael Show, Lil Rel Howery, is just one of the actors that have made the hit show a stand out on the network. Joined by David Alan Grier, Loretta Devine and Jerrod Carmichael, the series follows an opinionated North Carolina family that discuss and live through everyday issues that every American family can relate too (think race, Bill Cosby, cheating and more)
He talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about this week’s episode and his admiration for the show’s creator.
“Jerrod is a workaholic. He takes the script home every night to make sure the script is right. Jerrod does a good job and I’m proud of him for figuring out a way to make us comfortable with our character. He trusts us as actors to deliver it as our characters to say.”
