The Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services and Youth & Family Services Division is working diligently to provide loving homes for over 100 children whose goal it is to be adopted into a caring family. To date, the county has over 600 children in Foster Care. And while Foster Care and social services agencies in and around Charlotte are doing extraordinary work matching children in need of Foster Care, providing a permanent home is the ultimate goal of state, county, private agencies and most important – adoptive children.

‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland talked with Jennifer Freeman, Post Adoption/Confidential Intermediary Social Worker with the Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services and Youth & Family Services Division about the upcoming 4th Annual Adoption Conference: Journey to Permanence – Preserving the Past, Preparing for the Future.
