Had to take some time out & show luv to the one & only D’Angelo on his born day! When the discussion of truly talented musicians, this guy should definitely come up….no question. A lot of times people forget that this cat pretty much fathered the Neo Soul movement. When the “Brown Sugar” album came out, he was in a lane all by himself. The sound was definitely something that was truly soulful & refreshing, with real instruments, raw vocals, just the bomb! Then shortly after came the Erykah Badu’s, the Rahsaan Patterson’s, the Jill Scott’s, & so on…..all great artists in their own right. Salute D on your Birthday brotha, hope you’re blessed with many more! I’m OUT!
