Everyone loses here and there, and Taraji takes her Ls gracefully.

The Empire actress is gearing up for the second season of the hit series, so she and the rest of the cast are hitting the promo trail heavy. While talking to Ellen on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Taraji revealed her feelings about losing to Viola Davis at the 2015 Emmy Awards. Taraji would have been the first African-American woman to win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Emmy had she beat Viola out, so she admits losing was “bittersweet.”

Jimmy Kimmel‘s Mean Tweets is a real hit, and now the late night talk show host has added a little twist to the segment. Jimmy had celebrities come on the show this past Monday so they could read the disparaging tweets people send them out loud in front of his live audience.

The highly anticipated third season of Being Mary Jane hits the small screen next month, but ahead of its premiere, we have a sneak peek for your viewing pleasure.

From The YBF:

In the third season first look, we get to see what happens to Mary Jane after her car accident that left us on the edge of our seats for the season two finale. In her personal life, the sexual secret between her on-again/off-again boyfriend David and her best friend Lisa comes out and she wants absolutely NOTHING to do with them. In her work life, she’s forced to take leave from her news-anchoring job to heal after her accident. Meanwhile, a young Latina woman takes her place while she recovers that will cause some drama when Mary Jane is ready to come back to work. Does she still have a job? Also, the other woman involved in the car crash with Mary Jane, a bookstore owner named Cecilia (played by Loretta Devine), seems to be looking for a huge come up after it’s seemingly determined the crash was Mary Jane’s fault. Chick is trying to get paid!

Tune into BET at 9 p.m. EST on October 20th.

After all he’s been through, Tracy Morgan is still going strong.

According to The Wrap, the famed actor is in the middle of negotiations to star in a new film, which is a huge move for him after last year’s crazy car crash. The horrific incident left Tracy in critical condition, killed one, and seriously injured four others.

Fresh off an emotional appearance at the Emmy Awards where he received a standing ovation, Tracy Morgan is in negotiations to join Ice Cube and Charlie Day in New Line’s comedy “Fist Fight,” TheWrap has learned. “Fist Fight” will be Morgan’s first movie since he was seriously injured in an accident on the New Jersey Turnpike in June 2014, when a Walmart truck struck a limo carrying the comedian and several others.

Starring heavy-hitters Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell, and Christian Bale, the Adam McKay-directed film The Big Short is sure to open your eyes.

After four outsiders come to terms with the collapse of the global economy, they come together and commit to a “bold investment that leads them into the dark underbelly of modern banking where they must question everyone and everything.” The Big Short hits theaters on Christmas, and is based on Michael Lewis‘ best-selling book of the same name.
