On this day in 1991, the greatest basketball team ever assembled was put together. The United States Men’s Basketball Team known as “The Dream Team!” I still say to this day, even though the talent pool in those other countries was nothing compared to the NBA (& people cite that as the reason why they blew everybody out so bad), they would beat ANY TEAM EVER!!! I mean that roster……c’mon! Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, John Stockton, Karl Malone, Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Clyde Drexler, Chris Mullins, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Magic Johnson, & Christian Laetner (who they didn’t even need…..like for real)?!?SHow me ANY TEAM who can top that! None today, & none ever!! Shouts to the 1992 Olympic “Dream Team!” Thanks for bringing that gold on home! I’m OUT!!!
