Beyonce continues to give us more reasons to love her!

Chime for Change, Beyonce’s charity, just announced a partnership with Global Citizen to build a global campaign to create change for women and girls worldwide.

Chime for Change released the official announcement below:

“Gender equality is fundamental to Global Citizen’s long-term objective of ending extreme poverty by 2030. Women account for half of the world’s population, but three-fifths of those in extreme poverty. Women also perform two-thirds of the world’s working hours, yet earn only ten per cent of the world’s income, and own less than one per cent of the world’s property.

This partnership will provide CHIME FOR CHANGE a global platform – GlobalCitizen.org– to engage millions of people around the world by educating and encouraging them to take meaningful action in support of girls and women. Together, these two groups will aim to achieve measurable outcomes for girls’ and women’s issues, leveraging the combination of their powerful platforms, communities, partners and influence.

In addition, Gucci and CHIME FOR CHANGE will serve as Presenting Partners at the 2015 Global Citizen Festival on the Great Lawn in Central Park on September 26 in New York City.”

Beyonce, Coldplay, Ed Sheeren and Pearl Jam are headlining the official concert. Free tickets for the 2015 Global Citizens Festival in New York City are available now by completing featured actions to create change in the world. You have the option of sending an email to President Obama, send a tweet or sign a petition and more. VIP tickets will be available to purchase via Ticketmaster July 10th at 10 a.m.

Beyonce isn’t just talking the talk about feminism; she’s doing the work. Between her work in Haiti with the BeyGood charity and Chime for Change, she’s not taking anytime off.

We’re still going to cross our fingers for a new album soon.
