As she prepares for her residency at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, pop supernova Mariah Carey officially announced her new deal with Sony Music today, and the release of her new compilation, #1 to Infinity, due out on May 18. The album will feature all of MC’s number one hits, from the song that started it all, “Vision of Love,” to more recent tracks like “Touch My Body” and the new single, “Infinity,” which drops on April 27.

Her last album, 2014’s Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse, made it to #1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and #3 on the Billboard 200, but may have been overshadowed by a few less than stellar live performances captured on video as well as the dissolution of her marriage to Nick Cannon (who, just yesterday, laughingly told TMZ he would “never say never” regarding a reconciliation with Mariah). The Vegas residency, new deal, and upcoming release point to a more promising and triumphant year, however. Her Caesar’s Palace performances kick off on May 6, and no doubt this latest greatest hits compilation will be a welcomed walk down memory lane for longtime fans.
