Every shopper’s dream season of spending— or nightmare, depending on how you look at it— is finally here. That’s right, it’s time for holiday shopping! Although department stores can be complete mayhem, some deals are worth a little headache and occasional slug-fest, right? And as men, we’ll gladly put the paws on someone for courtside seats for an entire season of Knicks games— well, maybe not the Knicks, but you get it.
If money was no option and you’d completely avoid the stampede and hassle that comes along with the craziest of holiday shopping, here are five items on every man’s wishlist.
Before we let our imaginations run too wild, let’s focus on the more practical side of things. You can never go wrong with the latest in technology as a gift. Here are a few Christmas must-haves:
Beats by Dre Wireless Studio Headphones – $340 – $380
You can’t go wrong with a stylish pair of Dre Beats. These wireless studio edition headphones allow you to do everything from answer phone calls to lift to Jay Z in the gym, and a built-in ADC (Adaptive Noise Canceling) system allows you to completely immerse yourself in the sound you actually want to hear. Operating on a bluetooth system, the studio beats allow you to be at a 30-foot distance without any musical interruption.
X-Box One or Playstation 4 – $350 – $450
Video games are essential to maintaining an effective and efficient man cave. Having an X-Box One or Playstation 4 handy will always provide for an easy stress reliever. And depending on the console package, these systems can come with added features, such as games, extra controllers, motion features, etc…
Samsung HU9000 Series 65” Class UHD Smart 3D LED TV – $3,800
Now what good is a man cave without the latest and greatest in televisions as the centerpiece?! This Samsung Ultra Hi-Def television provides a viewing experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen. With advanced picture quality, this top-of-the-line flat screen TV is every man’s dream, and quite possibly his wife’s nightmare!
Other items include:
Microsoft Surface Pro 3
iPhone 6/6 Plus
Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Next up, we have fashion. Much like women, this also includes accessories such as watches and eyewear, along with pristine footwear. However, with men, the clothing department can be a little pricey. But being that this is our holiday list, everything’s on sale!
Armani, Gucci or Tom Ford Suits – $900 – $2,200
Whether it’s a formal event, or just taking your girl or wife out for “date night,” you can’t go wrong with any of these designer suits. And with a four-figure price tag on most designs, this would be a perfect holiday coup.
Designer Watch – Rolex, Michael Kors, Movado, Gucci, Breitling, etc… – Wide Range of Prices
It’s tough to rock one of those designer suits without an elegant time-piece to go along with it. Now depending on your tastes, this part can get a little tricky. Men’s watches don’t run cheap at all, so be prepared to drop some serious coin if you plan on doing it right! The good news is, there are plenty of designer lines to choose from, so the options are endless.
Footwear – Sneakers & Shoes – Wide Range in Price
Whether you’re a sneaker-head or much more of a loafer type of guy, top notch footwear is always essential. Footwear is also something that’s always catered to a person’s individual style. Not everyone that wears sneakers, wear Jordan’s. The same can be said for someone who prefers a Gucci loafer over the popular Ferragamo version. For the sneaker-lover, cruise on over to Sneaker News to take a look at some of the holiday releases coming your way this year. A few personal favorites on the list include: Jordan 6 (Blk/Infared), Air Max Penny, Kobe Elite “Strategy”, and the LeBron 12 “Six Meridian”.
Sporting Events & Concerts
Very few things say “I Love You” more than live sporting events; Not just any live attendance at an event, though. We’re talking about premium events! A year-long pass to the Super Bowl, NBA All-Star weekend, the NBA Finals, Championship Boxing, and any VIP tickets to your favorite entertainers tour would be an amazing gift. Relive a few of these great moments and just imagine yourself live for this type of action.
Ok, so the Tyson clips were a bit of a time lapse, but there hasn’t been anyone that really knocked their opponent out on the level that Mike did. It’s also just to drive home the point of being there to witness something like that. And the Beyonce clip, well…you know the saying, “Happy wife, happy life” right? And what man would pass up the opportunity to stare at Beyonce for any amount of time, let alone have VIP access?!
Planes, Trains, & Automobiles
Alright, so you can cross out the trains portion of that headline, but it had to flow, right? Instead, just image yourself with ability to purchase any vehicle you wanted — your dream car, if you will. Would you shoot for the moon and go after a Bugatti or Phantom, or go the Bruce Wayne route and cop yourself a Lambo? Or, you may not even be the car type and opt for a private jet or your own personal yacht. Either way, here are a few things to consider.
BMW Concept Cars – ARCO, Hommage & GINA
Considering the premise to this “holiday” list of ours, it’s not too far fetched to think one of these bad boys is attainable. These futuristic automobiles are still in the “concept” car stage, which means there are about a handful of them floating around. And with money being no object in this case, it’s absolutely possible to be an owner of one of these rare vehicles.
If you’re not a fan of traveling by land, might we suggest a private jet? As you can see courtesy of homebunch.com, many of the interiors to these extravagant carriers look better than the homes of some people. Your average flight across the country wouldn’t be that bad if this were your method of transportation, right? In fact, there isn’t any room for complaint if you were merely traveling down the street in something like this.
If land and air travel just aren’t your thing, we have the perfect remedy for that. As you can see on luxurystuff.org, a fantasy island yacht may just be for you. It’s left to wonder, where exactly would you travel when you’ve already got your very own island traveling with you? Regardless of that, this fine piece of machinery could be yours for about nine figures. Since it’s Black Friday, let’s go ahead and chop it down to seven, deal?
Last, but certainly not least, we have real estate! If you’re someone that lives in New York City or Los Angeles, this is an ideal gift! In fact, this would be a gift from God himself. A two-bedroom apartment located in a prime area of NYC could cost you about $3,000 – $4,000/month in rent. And that’s not counting parking fees, security, and other various amenities that aren’t necessarily included in that price point.
But we’re not dealing with the small-time in our dream-list scenario. So here’s a list of the Top 10 Most Expensive Houses in the World.
Amazing, right? Any combination of gifts on this list would surely bring a lifetime’s worth of happiness to any man in the world. And just in case none of these work for you, all-inclusive travel, personal chef service, stock discounts, etc…would all fit the bill!
Hope you enjoyed this list. If there’s anything we missed, feel free to let us know in the comments. And ladies, you know how the meme goes, “This could be us, but you playin!”
