Woman remains missing after Halloween party in Frenchtown Township

Family and friends of 22-year-old Chelsea Bruck aren’t thinking the worst. Instead, they’re working shifts, walking neighboring streets and knocking on doors. Bruck was last seen Saturday night at a party in Frenchtown Township. Video from that night shows the massive Halloween party, hosted by the rock group Pick Axe Preacher.

The lead singer says he hired 10 security guards and two parking attendants, but never expected more than 600 people to show up. Bruck was dressed as the character Poison Ivy and had left her phone in a friend’s car. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office released a sketch of a man Bruck may have been seen leaving the party with. Her family messaged Williams Monday morning when they couldn’t reach her. Police have questioned Williams and searched fields around his home.

Bruck’s family isn’t giving up.

6-year-old boy shot on Detroit’s east side

Detroit police say a 6-year-old boy has been shot on the city’s east side. We’re told the incident happened in the 18400 block of Algnoac. Police say the boy was shot in the wrist and taken to a local hospital. He is expected to be OK.

Family of Immanuel Foster holds vigil to remember boy found beaten, malnourished

The uncle of 7-year-old Immanuel Foster called on family and friends to show how much Immanuel Foster is missed. They lit candles and said prayers at the vigil on Detroit’s west side for the 7-year-old boy who suffered tremendously in his final days. It was William Lowe’s sister, Victoria Foster and her husband Corey Rimson, who were both arrested for the torture and murder of the little boy.

Immanuel was rushed to the hospital in the early morning hours of Oct. 23, he was vomiting – but Fox 2 is told by the time he made it to the hospital he had died. An autopsy showed the boy almost 8 years old, was extremely malnourished and weighed 27 pounds. He had bruises and burns over his body and police say the conditions in the home were unlivable. All of the information was shocking to hear for the family, who saw the boy in early September. It was just before the boy’s mother Victoria Foster, left for Saginaw for work leaving Immanuel and her two baby girls behind.

As this memorial continues to grow, family members don’t know why no one in this house asked for help for the children. If the children or Immanuel needed a place to stay, food to eat, the family members say they would have been there. The large crowd holding candles chanted, “If you hungry, call me,” to remind each other that even in their darkest time, they are there.

Angels’ Night curfew in place while volunteers hit the streets

Several early morning fires kept Detroit firefighters busy Wednesday morning. Volunteer patrols and a city-wide curfew began Wednesday night as the Angels’ Night period kicked off.

Fox 2 visited the Northwest Activities Center in Detroit for more information on the preparation where volunteers have been showing up. The effort about ownership, people who want to see this city succeed. About 3,000 volunteers are expected to pitch in for Angels’ Night. The city has a lot of abandoned homes and buildings, Mayor Mike Duggan estimated about 40 to 50,000 buildings in Detroit are unoccupied and possible targets for arsonists. But they have a plan to chip away at those numbers leveling 100 to 200 buildings a week with a goal of cleaning it all up in three years.

In the meantime volunteers are asked to come out to patrol their neighborhood, keep a porch light on, look for suspicious activity and report it. Volunteers Fox 2 spoke with say the inspiration is homegrown. Allen Isiah Rhea watched his grandfather do it for years as a block club president. He says its his turn. Its important to note that curfew begins Wednesday at 6 p.m. for those 17 and under and runs through 6 a.m. It will remain in place through Friday night.
