“When this incident occurred, I promised that I would look into it and vowed a swift resolution,” CHP Commissioner Joe Farrow said in a statement cited by KTLA. “Today, we have worked constructively to reach a settlement agreement that is satisfactory to all parties involved.”

Supposedly, the violence was sparked by Marlene pushing officer Daniel Andrew, who was trying to keep her off the road and out of traffic. He took things too far by chasing her and then hitting. Following his inexcusable behavior, the Associated Press reports officer Daniel Andrew will be tendering his resignation for assaulting Marlene.
