(GALVESTON, TX)— The search for University of Virginia student Hannah Graham is underway in Galveston County, in Charlottesville, Va., and all points in between.
But the arrest of Jesse Matthew on the Bolivar Peninsula gives investigators a starting point.
Now that Matthew is in custody, the search for 18-year-old Hannah Graham is underway in Galveston County, said Sheriff Henry Trochesset.
“You do the search of the car, where it is, the surrounding area, the sand dunes, the area where he was picked up and you go out from there,” Trochesset said.
Graham has not been seen since Sept. 13th in Virginia, where the search for her continues as well, said Charlottesville Police Chief Timothy Longo.
“I have hope, Hannah’s mom and dad have hope,” Longo said. “We all know though as each day goes by that hope will diminish.”
But Sheriff Trochesset said Graham may be somewhere else entirely.
“This individual’s got a 1300-mile track, so there’s a broad area to be looked at from A to B.”
