Gospel great James Fortune is hosting the Gospel Explosion at the Allstate Tom Joyner Family Reunion and he’s bringing some of Christian music’s favorite artists with him as part of the Motown Gospel Revue.

“This lineup is absolutely incredible, Kierra Sheard, VaShawn Mitchell, Mr. ‘Nobody Greater’, Tasha Cobbs is going to be there ‘Breaking Every Chain’, Smokie Norful – ‘I Need You Now’ and new artist Ms. Anita Wilson,” Fortune says.

And if you think you’re going to be in “church” for a long time, guess again.

“Part of my job, since I’m hosting, is to walk out and let them know time is up…that’s the sign,” he says.

In light of the crazy celebrity headlines recently the Tom Joyner Morning Show decided to have a little fun with Fortune in a game called ‘Count The Commandments’.

On what commandment Charles Barkley broke:

“Thou shall not be the round pot calling the kettle black. We want you to exercise your faith before you talk about other people.”

Donald Sterling:

“Thou art a donkey. Y’all can look up the biblical translation in the bible.”

Solange:

“Thou shall confess with thy mouth and tell us exactly what Jay Z did to make you come out of the spirit like that.”

JAMES FORTUNE:  Good morning, Tom.  How you doing?

TOM JOYNER:  I’m doing good.  Who do you got for the Family Reunion?

JAMES FORTUNE:  Oh, I am so excited.  This lineup is absolutely incredible.  First of all Kiera Sheard, Vashon Mitchell, Mr. ‘Nobody Greater’, also Tasha Cobbs is going to be there breaking every chain, Smokie Norful, ‘I Need You Now’, and new artist Ms. Anita Wilson are all going to be a part of this incredible Gospel Explosion as part of Tom Joyner’s All-State Family Reunion.

JAMES FORTUNE:  Yes, absolutely.  I’m going to be there hosting as well as, you know, maybe do a song or two for the people, solo, maybe I’ll do a solo.

SYBIL WILKES:  If we ask nicely …

TOM JOYNER:  Sounds like we’re going to be in church for a long time.

J. ANTHONY BROWN:  Oh, that’s going to be a long time, man.

JAMES FORTUNE:  (Laugh)

TOM JOYNER:  That’s going be a long service.

JAMES FORTUNE:  It’s not going be too long, it’s going to be the appropriate time, you got make sure, you know, you got all these incredible artists with some incredible songs.

J. ANTHONY BROWN:  They don’t respect the light, man.  They don’t get …

TOM JOYNER:  They think the light is going back to the beginning and start it all over again.

J. ANTHONY BROWN:  (Laugh)

JAMES FORTUNE:  Well, that’s part of my job, because I’m hosting, so I get to walk out on stage

SYBIL WILKES:  And that’s the sign, huh?

JAMES FORTUNE:  Yeah, that’s the sign, the time is up.

TOM JOYNER:  All right, let’s have a little fun this morning now.

JAMES FORTUNE:  All right.

TOM JOYNER:  I hope it’s not a sin to make up your own commandments, okay?

JAMES FORTUNE:  Okay.

TOM JOYNER:  Because we’re really not judging, you know.

JAMES FORTUNE:  You’re not.

TOM JOYNER:  This is just for fun.

JAMES FORTUNE:  Okay, let’s do it.

TOM JOYNER:  There’s a little game called Count the Commandments.

JAMES FORTUNE:  Count the Commandments, all right.

TOM JOYNER:  All right, what kind of commandments did these people break?

JAMES FORTUNE:  Okay.

TOM JOYNER:  Charles Barkley.

JAMES FORTUNE:  Charles Barkley, thou shall not be the brown pot calling the kettle black.  Thou shall run and not be weary, thou shall walk in that faith, Charles Barkley we want you exercise your faith before you start talking about others.

TOM JOYNER:  That’s a good one.  What is the commandment for Donald Sterling?

JAMES FORTUNE:  Donald Sterling, thou art a donkey, period.  You can look up the biblical translation of donkey in the bible, but that’s all I’m gonna say about him.

TOM JOYNER:  Okay, V. Stiviano.

JAMES FORTUNE:  V. Stiviano, we want you to know thou shall bring Justin Bieber to Los Angeles Clipper Games and post it on Instagram.  You know, Justin has changed his ethnicity to African American, but we want her to know that Justin Bieber is welcome to the house of the Clippers.

TOM JOYNER:  Solonge.

JAMES FORTUNE:  Salon, this is important to me, thou shall confess with thou mouth and tell us exactly what Jay Z did to make you come out of the spirit like that.  We’re tired of everybody guessing, we want the whole truth because the truth shall set you free and set us all free for making up our own scenario, Solange.

TOM JOYNER:  Kim Kardashian.

JAMES FORTUNE:  Kim Kardashian, thou shall not accept Ray Jay’s wedding gift offer unless you’re going to send me a love offering off of it.

TOM JOYNER:  Prince does not perform the hits.

JAMES FORTUNE:  Prince, thou shall let it rain, let me explain, we’re not talking about the new making rain, no Prince, we need Purple Rain.  We don’t know these new songs and we not hating all the new stuff, but we love the New Testament, but we want the Old Testament, we need you to make it Purple Rain, we need the Rain.

TOM JOYNER:  And finally, for murdering your hit, J. Anthony Brown.

JAMES FORTUNE:  J. Anthony Brown, here’s a commandment for you, man of God, thou shall not kill, you have murdered the hits including mine and now people don’t even know the real lyrics to the song anymore.  People still come to me saying; you know what, James?  I sure do love your song, ‘I Jacked You’.  Yes, use your gift to come up with your own hit and quit murdering mine; thou shall not kill J. Anthony Brown.

TOM JOYNER:  Thou shall not kill a hit. (laughter) We’re gonna have fun.

SYBIL WILKES:  We look forward to the Motown Gospel Review.

JAMES FORTUNE:  Yes.

SYBIL WILKES:  And you’ve got a living gospel roundtable after service too, right?

TOM JOYNER:  After service?

J. ANTHONY BROWN:  That’s going to be even longer, Sybil.
