Congrats are in order, for Rock Hill’s very own Jadeveon Clowney who was Thursday night’s No. 1 draft pick for the NFL 2014.
The Houston Texans added a new member to the team using the first pick in the NFL Draft on Thursday and selected the 266-pound defensive end from the University of South Carolina.
“Man, I was nervous,” Clowney told ESPN. “I’m like, who are they going to pick? Who are they going to pick? … I had to let it out. I was happy about that moment, that situation.”
There were thirty-two picks in the first round Thursday night, the second and third rounds are scheduled for Friday night, leaving four through seven on Saturday.
