Taye Diggs 1999 was a great year for Taye Diggs, fresh off of How Stella Got Her Groove Back, Taye landed four big screen roles: Go, The Wood, The Best Man and House On Haunted Hill. Since then Taye Diggs has been seen in many Emmy Award winning TV Series including Ally McBeal, Will & Grace, Law & Order and Grey’s Anatomy; a few musicals including the very popular Chicago and Rent, and various big screen roles including Brown Sugar and the latest Baggage Claim.
Since shooting The Best Man Holiday, Diggs is currently filming for a starring role in Steven Bochco’s TV Series Murder in the First for TNT.
The stunning three-time NAACP award winner Nia Long has been doing her acting thing for almost THIRTY years, crazy since she doesn’t look a day past twenty nine! Long started her acting career in TV and has been seen consistently over the last three decades in various series including Guiding Light, Living Single, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, ER, Moesha, Judging Amy, The Cleveland Show, Third Watch, Big Shots, and House of Lies; as well as TV Movies including Black Jaq, If These Walls Could Talk 2, and Sightings: Heartland Ghost.
Nia Long has also appeared in many of our favorite movies including Boyz in the Hood, Friday, Love Jones, Soul Food, Big Mommas House (1 and 2) and Are We There Yet?. Since wrapping up The Best Man Holiday cast, Nia is now prepping for the release of the new Tyler Perry movie Single Moms Club.
The ideal tall, dark and handsome man women wish for, Morris Chestnut has stole women’s hearts numerous times in the romantic comedies The Best Man, Think Like A Man, The Brothers, Two Can Play That Game, Breakin’ All the Rules and The Perfect Holiday. Morris Chestnut first came to be recognized by moviegoers starring as Ricky in Boyz n the Hood.
Although Chestnut plays a great heartthrob, he has proven he has the talent to play various roles including a lead role in Civil Rights Drama The Ernest Green Story in 1993, Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, G.I. Jane and Half Past Dead as well as Identity Thief and The Call.
Harold Perrineau outside of his role as Julian Murch in The Best Man, he is best known for the roles of Michael Dawson in the U.S. television series Lost, Link in The Matrix films and games, Augustus Hill in the American television series Oz, and Mercutio in Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet.
He starred in ABC’s comedy-drama television series The Unusuals, playing NYPD homicide detective Leo Banks and was cast as ruthless drug kingpin Damon Pope on the FX drama Sons of Anarchy.
He has appeared in several other high-profile films, including The Best Man, 28 Weeks Later, 30 Days of Night: Dark Days, and Zero Dark Thirty. He also starred alongside Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin in the survival drama The Edge. (Source)
Many would say Terrence Howard went on to have the biggest career of all The Best Holiday cast members. Howard broke onto the big screen with his riveting performance in Mr. Holland’s Opus in 1995. Howard’s most memorable performances to date are of scene-stealing characters such as “Cowboy” in the Hughes brother’s film Dead Presidents and as “Quentin” in Malcolm D. Sanaa Lathan has starred in many films, including the box-office hits The Best Man, Love & Basketball, Brown Sugar, Alien vs. Predator and The Family That Preys. Lathan was nominated for a Tony Award for her performance on Broadway in A Raisin in the Sun. Regina Hall she began appearing in commercials in 1997 at age 26, and then made the giant leap into movies with her first role being Candy in The Best Man. Her fame however came with her role in the comedy-horror spoof Scary Movie. The following year, she made many other TV and film appearances, including NYPD Blue, Disappearing Acts and Love and Basketball both of which also starred close friend and The Best Man Holiday cast member Sanaa Lathan.
In 2001, Hall’s list of credits grew to include her role, as Corretta Lipp on the prime-time drama Ally McBeal. She would later on start in other films such as Malibu’s Most Wanted, Scary Movie (2 and 3), The Honeymooners, Paid in Full, The Other Brother, First Sunday, Death at a Funeral, and Think Like a Man.
Hall has two movies set to release next year, About Last Night and Think Like a Man Too.
