On a hot Sunday afternoon in Detroit, it seems like a day at a brand-new water park could be the perfect solution to beat the heat.

Unfortunately, the grand opening at the “Palmer Park Splash” didn’t go as planned. Although the ribbon cutting ceremony went off without mishap, when it was time to turn on the water, no water came out!

Luckily, the Detroit Fire Department hooked up their hoses, and sprayed the park goers to make sure they had a good time.

The water-less water park is due to a broken water main but it should be fixed soon.
