Charlotte Solidarity Center sponsored the rally. They are a loose organization, mostly organized via word of mouth and social media, that formed after the Democratic National Convention in 2012. The group organized People’s Power Assembly in November.
For those interested in continuing the fight for social justice, the NAACP is holding a Forward Together Meeting at Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Church at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Democracy North Carolina is hosting Speak It Now at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Red @ 28th.
