As usual, Virginia proves that when it comes to music and live concerts, we support. That was evident again this past weekend in Hampton as the 2013 Hampton Jazz Festival featured the likes of Gladys Knight, Kem, The O’Jays, Jill Scott, Bob James & David Sanborn, Fantasia, TGT and more. A full house for all three nights of the festival, which has been running now for an unbelievable 46 years.

Despite the longevity of the festival and the age of the Hampton Coliseum, it is still THE thing to do in late June here in the Old Dominion for true lovers of great R & B and Jazz music. If a picture says a thousand words, then this one speaks volumes to the passion Virginians have for live concerts and festive events. It’s proven over and over again annually at this event and our Stone Soul Music & Food Festival.
