At this years Shanghai Auto Show, more than a hand of full of cars made their debut at the show. Everything was shown, from the affordable Ford Escort to the uber-exclusive Ferrari LeFrarrari. The Shanghai Auto Show usually highlight the Chinese automakers, however Ford, BMW and MC make some noise unveiling their newest rides for the Chinese market.
With China being the largest up-and-coming car market in the world, there were no shortage of concept cars at this show with them boasting and hosting 1,113 new cars to hit the market. Let’s take a look at what the show had to offer this year.
Hongqi L7
Hongqi is looking to compete against the Bentley and Rolls-Royce types. They have a big hill to climb since Bentley and Rolls-Royce has the market cornered with high-end luxury cars.

Hyundai made an impression on car buyers a few years ago with their concept of the Genesis, and to date it’s become one of Hyundai’s best selling cars. Can the Blue do the same?
Nissan Friend-ME
It was the stand out from the Shanghai motor show. Hopefully Nissan will listen to the people and bring this ride to the masses.
Maserati Ghibil
Masterati decided to bring back their Ghibil model from the late 60′s, but this time at a lower price point hoping to compete with the likes of Audi, BMW, and Mercedes.
Icona Volcano
Looking to make a name for themselves, new auto company Icona grabbed a former Ferrari F1 engineer and ex-Jaguar Land Rover designer to create the head turner Volcano. Getting a top speed of 217 mph and going from 0 to 60 in only 2.9, Icona could make some noise in the auto industry.
BMW X4
Making its debut at the Shanghai show this year, the X4 will be BMW’s newest crossover vehicle and newest car to the X line up.
Chery @ant 2.0
The second model that Chery has developed, Chery wants their @ant 2.0 to enter the SUV market in the Chinese market. Signing a new joint venture with Jaguar Land Rover, with this crazy design Chery might be on to something.
MG CS
Selling over 80,000 cars in China, MG is shifting its sights back to Britain. The so-called take over by MG starts with the CS concept.
Ferrari LeFrarrari
Besides having this comical name, Ferrari had dubbed the car the Enzo and the F50, but the name might be a little ridiculous until you actually see the car. Starting out at $1.3 million Ferrari may have the last laugh.
Audi S6
The new S6 hits 0 to 60 in about 3 secs flat not bad for your everyday car. Look for this car to compete heavily with BMW and Mercedes.
Mercedes SL350
More of an upgrade or refresher since the car is already on the market. This model comes with Nappa leather, bass front and magic sky control roof.
Lamborghini Aventador
When it’s released there will only be 100 made and only come in yellow.
Volkswagen CrossBlue Coupé
Volkswagon debuts their brand new Crossblue at this year’s car show.
Ford Escort
The Ford Escort might not be the top of the line car, but it has come a long way. And the newest model should turn some heads.
