Thank You Lord For Life’s Hard Times

When things in life are going well, it’s easy to say thank you Lord!! Thank you for the car, thank you for the house, thank you for the new job and the new relationship. But what about when your finances are turned upside, or you lose your job, or your house and even your relationship is in trouble? I don’t know about you, but it was hard for me to say thank you, and as a matter of fact I didn’t say thank you at all. I was angry and even bitter at times and I felt like the victim and I could not understand why me.
Romans 8:18, says “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. This is the scripture that put it all in perspective for me.
The lessons learned in the trials of life, teach us things we need to understand and the testimonies we must share. Yes, it is tough to say thank you in many situations, but seeing it as a faith confession, followed by a promise that everything will work out for me good, made it easier.

1 Thessalonians 5:18, says “give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for your life. This was a scripture that I always struggled with, because if I were to abide by it, I would have been saying thank you for some tough stuff.
Life is truly grace to grace and through every trial and every tribulation the door is opened for the Lord to show up in a mighty way, just in time to pluck us out of our situation. I have seen it for myself when I thought all had been loss, but when I looked around, there was grace and mercy to see me through.
