Album and single cover art allows the artist a chance for us to see inside their minds and hearts when they release the music. It’s literally the visual version of the song. Many female artists attempt to sell sex when pushing their latest tunes. However, when you’ve got the undeniable vocals and the passion to back it up like Melanie Fiona, you don’t need to superficial to sell. You’ve got authentic emotion and nothing’s more refreshing than that.

Here’s what Fiona had to say about her cover art for “Wrong Side of a Love Song“:

“I wrote this song from a very personal place and time in my life. The image you see is honest. I didn’t want to go to a photographer and have this emotion shadowed by a staged photo shoot with expensive clothes, glam, hair and full makeup. I captured myself in the actual moment of feeling the way I did. The truth about Love is that isn’t always beautiful. In music, there is a truth that needs to be heard and felt. I am not afraid to share my truth in ‘Wrong Side of a Love Song.’”
