What an exciting afternoon we had when the 44th President of the United States came by the Radio One offices…
Well sorta kinda. We were enjoying lunch and watching the news coverage of President Obama leaving Charlotte after having visited with area company Freightliner. They were broadcasting his departure and we were in awe of the majesty of AirForce One and all the fanfare that goes along with it. All of the security staff loaded onto the plane and then they showed the take-off. That’s when we remembered how close we are to the airport and ran outside in the parking lot to see if we could get a glimpse. We jumped and hollered like school girls, yes even sister station host Fly Ty. Lol! No really, the presence of the President, even at that distance does something to you! Fun afternoon!
