Tyler Perry has been on tour since the start of the year with his newest stage play, “Madea’s Happy Family.”  Well, if you missed him on his six-month tour, you will have a chance to see him – as Madea – in 2011.  It seems Tyler is bringing “Madea’s Happy Family” to the big screen.

Perry has other projects scheduled to hit the big screen as well.  According to online sources, Perry will begin filming of “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf” in June.  Perry will direct an adaptation of the play featuring a star-studded cast, which is said to include Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Jurnee Smollett, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington, Loretta Devine, Anika Noni Roase and Macy Gray. It is scheduled for release on January 14, 2011.
