If Cam Newton passes for 107 yards on Sunday, he would become the first player in NFL history to pass for 4,000 yards and rush for at least 500 yard. He may only be an alternate for the Pro Bowl, but he’s our allstar.

We thought this would be a good time to show how Newton stacks up against other quarterbacks in his rookie season.

Newton set the record for most passing yards by a rookie in NFL history. He had 3,893 passing yards compared to Peyton Manning’s 3,739. Newton had the third highest number of touchdown passes in his rookie season tying Dan Marino. He set a record for most touchdowns by a rookie with 34.

If Newton scores one rushing touchdown on Sunday he will tie running backs Clinton Portis, Mike Anderson and Ickey Woods for rushing touchdowns. That’s crazy. Newton is a QB with the potential to tie running backs for rushing touchdowns.
