Education advocate Sylvia Mendez talks with the DNC In Charlotte about making education a priority at the Democratic National Convention in 2012. Mendez’s parents won an important case in the battle to desegregate schools in the ’40s. Today, Mendez travels the country speaking to kids about the historic case and the importance of staying in school.
