America, the land of the free, the home of the brave. Some Muslims in Charlotte will be gathering Sunday to share what it means to live in America, and particularly in Charlotte after the tragedies of 9-11. Media is invited to a brief press conference on Sunday, September 11 at 12:45 p.m. where members of Masjid Ash-Shaheed, and other Charlotte Muslim leaders will share with each other (and the media) their thoughts.

Resident Imam (leader) Khalil A. Akbar, and other leaders believe that it is important to not be silent on days like this, but to let our communities and the world know how Muslims (a non-monolithic group) think and feel during these serious times in America.

Address:
Masjid Ash-Shaheed
400 W. Sugar Creek Rd.
Charlotte, NC 28213

Do you think Muslim American get unfairly treated because of 9/11?
