I seriously thought I was tripping when my house started shaking about 15 minutes ago, but I wasn’t. Charlotte felt the tremors of a 5.9 magnitude earthquake that CNN reports struck in Virginia near Richmond. The quake rattled the Washington D.C. and it was felt in North Carolina, New York, and Ohio. Reporters are saying that you could clearly feel the ground move, buildings were shaking and were shaking and things were falling off of the shelves in offices.
In the Carolinas, I’ve heard from people in the University area as well as Lenoir, Greensboro and Raleigh who also felt the tremors.
