A few weeks ago I was doing my normal morning routine – deleting emails from companies announcing sales and specials, reading and responding to business-related emails – when I accidentally opened an email from Dooney and Burke. I quickly realized by mistake, but as I was closing out the email so I could delete it I realized that the bag maker was holding a Dooney on the Street photo competition. I thought to myself: “Hmmm, photo competition … and the prize is a credit for a bag?” Being the designer bag fiend that I am, I had to investigate a little more.
Upon investigating I realized I HAD to enter. So, I began sending a slew of emails to create my own personal Glam Squad to help me develop the best pictures because I wasn’t just going to enter; I was going to win.
Enter my Glam Squad – Photographer Eboni Lewis of Timelessly Classic Photography, Makeup and hair stylist Niya Alexander, wardrobe stylist Davita Galloway, and my trusty intern Noriah Williams.
We shot on what had to be the hottest day of the summer. We baked in the sun, climbed trees and strutted all over the set of the shoot (with all eyes on us). All I can say is I can’t wait until voting begins because our pictures ROCKED! We had people stopping and asking all kinds of questions, but they all said the same thing … this is HAUTE!
