Carolina Panthers linebacker Jon Beason has been arrested on a charge of aggravated assault.
The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office says Beason was arrested at 1:36 p.m. Monday.
A source tells NewsChannel 36 that the charges stem from an incident at Uptown Cabaret after the Panthers’ victory against the Atlanta Falcons on Nov. 15.
The source says that Beason punched a man during a confrontation. The victim allegedly suffered injuries to his eye socket and nose, which required medical attention and reconstructive surgery.
